How do you help a child with ADHD? In today's episode, we want to clear things up first. ADHD, or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, has been overdiagnosed. If your child has a high amount of energy, it doesn't mean that they have ADHD automatically. Let's talk about how to help children with ADHD, but these tips will also work for your children who are very energetic.
16 ADHD has been overdiagnosed
40 Even if they're not diagnosed, this will work with children who are energetic
15 Regulate their own behavior in a better way
46 Have a picture list of things they need to do
47 Back off
10 Let the consequences do the teaching
12 Let empathy be your response rather than anger
22 A child diagnosed with ADHD may take much more work to teach this skill
50 "I trust you to learn from your experience"
