Lawn irrigation after the winter - getting started safely step by step

In this video, I show you step by step how I get my lawn irrigation system up and running again after the winter. The Hunter sprinklers and Rain Bird valves of the individual irrigation circuits are thoroughly checked, adjusted and optimized. I also reactivate the control computer, check the programming and carry out extensive tests before getting the entire system ready for the new season.

After I frost-proofed the Hunter lawn irrigation system in the fall using compressed air, it's now a matter of supplying it with water and manually testing each irrigation circuit. If necessary, I make adjustments straight away. The irrigation computer is reactivated and the automatic program is tested to ensure that all sprinklers are working optimally.


Why should the lawn irrigation be checked after winter?
After the winter, deposits, air bubbles or minor damage may have formed in the lawn irrigation pipes. To prevent frost damage and ensure that the system is working properly, it is important to check and adjust all components thoroughly. This also includes fine-tuning the lawn sprinklers and checking the control computer.
