This video is about making compost tea using tepache, a traditional Mexican fermented fruit juice, that uses pineapple skin and brown cane sugar as the main ingredient in the fermentation. My Tepache Compost Tea Recipe is: 1 Cup Tepache 2-5 TBSP Lacto Bacillus Serum 1 TBSP Insect Frass 1 TBSP Kelp Meal 3-5 TBSP Organic Molasses
Brew it up for 24-48 Hours. I usually go the full 48 hours if possible. This is a great compost tea for flowering, fruiting, and seeding plants. They will love the infusion of trace minerals, microbes, and nutrients. The insect frass is an immune booster. It helps shore up our plants immunity by tricking them into thinking that they're are a lot of insects around. It illicits a positive response from their immune system. I like to dilute my compost tea using 1 part tea to 9 parts rainwater. You can use it straight or water it down. There really isn't a lot of fertilizer in this brew. This is more of a soil conditioner. A probiotic for our microbes. It helps activate the soil food web. ____________
