In today's makeup tutorials we'll talk about how to hide a pimple/acne.

Before your big event, you will be tempted to spot treat the pimple with one of those harsh, paste-like pimple fighters from your teenage years. Avoid the temptation! These drying formulas can suck up all the moisture in skin, leaving dry red patches that are hard to cover. Instead go for an all over, oil fighting mask.

To best cover a pimple, start by moisturizing your skin to ensure a smooth application of foundation and concealer. All skin types, even oily ones, need regular moisturizing.

Then reach for a creamy concealer in a shade that matches your skin tone and follow these steps:

1. Using a small brush deposit a pinhead sized bit of concealer right in the middle of the pimple.
2. Wipe the excess concealer off of the brush.
3. Blend the concealer from the middle to the outer edges away from pimple. Try not to disturb the centre concealer too much; you want it to be concentrated over the middle of the blemish.
4. Use soft, short strokes to ‘stipple’ the edges of the concealer and blend it into your skin tone.
5. Once you have completely covered the red spot, lightly dust over it with a translucent powder to lock the concealer in place.

These simple steps will help calm your skin and cover even your largest pimples. Now put on your favourite outfit and a pair of fierce shoes and enjoy your night!
