On 1 September 2022, SEAMEO SPAFA had the pleasure of speaking with two of her former Senior Specialists in the Performing Arts, Dr. Chua Soo Pong and Dr. Kusuma Venzky-Stalling, on the topic of "Traditional Theatre in Southeast Asia: The Singapore and Thailand Experiences". This SESH was broadcast live at 10am on Facebook Live on SPAFA's Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/seameo.spafa/) and on the Zoom platform.
During the SESH, Dr. Chua gave the audience an understanding of the revitalization of traditional theatre in Singapore, whilst Dr. Kusuma focused on the rekindling of traditional performing arts through the eyes of the youth. After their insights and experiences, the floor was opened to the audience to participate through questions and comments.
