Hi guys! In this new video I explain how I learned how to speak the Italian language. It was a long process but not a difficult one. I first encountered the Italian language in my first year of university. I wanted to study Italian because I did not want to take Spanish, which everybody was choosing. I wanted to do something different. Our teacher was a young, stunning and intelligent woman. She was also very demanding. We had to study hard for her exams because they were not easy at all! We mostly did grammatical exercises. I loved those exercises because they were straightforward. As long as you studied, you didn't have any problems. I remember not trying to speak the language necessarily. I just loved the logic of it! Many years later, my daughter chose Italian at school as her third language. Since we homeschool, I had to help her with her Italian studied. Therefore, I continued learning Italian vicariously. In high school, my daughter dropped Italian and chose Polish which she spoke better since we live in Poland. However, I decided to continue studying Italian because I loved it. I studied Italian on Italian Pod 101 and I had a great time on this platform. At some time, I even had a personal teacher and she helped me quite a lot with spoken Italian and discipline. Her name was Anna. Right now, I have a monthly subscription on "News in Slow Italian". It's a great platform to learn current Italian vocabulary. I try to use the platform at least four times a week. In this video, you will also see our recent trip to Suntago Park in Poland. We had a great time and I can't wait to go there again!
