The saying “your only as happy as your unhappiest child” is as relevant today in workplaces as it is around dining room tables. More than ever the pressures of raising happy, healthy and capable children (18 months to 18 years) are relevant to Health & Safety Professionals and the Australian workplaces in which we work. Many Health & Safety Professionals often feel stressed, guilty and concerned that we need to do more for our children and we often lead the ‘systems’ that see the ‘spill-over effects’ of not managing parenting effectively (incidents, accidents and poor wellbeing across workplaces). So we are often in the double-whammy and can be ill-equipped to make positive change.
