Sealing damp basement walls - install a horizontal barrier yourself and stop moisture

In this video, I show you how I installed a retrofit horizontal barrier with injection sticks to stop rising damp in my basement walls. The sticks are placed in the bed joints of the masonry and prevent moisture from rising further into the walls.

Older houses often do not have adequate protection against damp in the walls, which can lead to damp basements and damage. A retrofitted horizontal barrier can remedy this. In my video, you will learn step by step how to use the sticks correctly to permanently dry out the walls.

The horizontal barrier is applied in several steps: First, the bed joints are determined and marked, then holes are drilled and the sticks are inserted. The drilled holes are then sealed with restoration mortar or cement mortar to complete the process. The masonry is thus effectively protected against moisture and the indoor climate in the basement rooms is sustainably improved.

I have already tried various methods for waterproofing basement walls - in this video I show you the advantages of using injection sticks.
