Sealing damp basement walls - install a horizontal barrier with injection cream yourself

In this video, I show you how I installed a retrofit horizontal barrier against rising damp in my damp basement walls. I use the injection cream to seal the masonry in order to permanently stop moisture and improve the indoor climate in the basement in the long term.

Many older houses have no or inadequate protection against rising damp. You can effectively waterproof your walls with a retrofitted horizontal barrier. I explain step by step how the injection cream is applied to the horizontal joints: from marking the drill holes, drilling and cleaning to injecting the cream and sealing the holes. I also test the effectiveness of the method in a long-term test.

This video will help you to dry out your basement walls yourself and improve the indoor climate in your home.
