Laying and welding the pool liner yourself - step-by-step instructions

In this video, I show you how we installed the pool liner in our new concrete pool, welded it and sealed it with liquid liner. After the time-consuming preparatory work, the water can finally be let into the pool!

Before the pool liner from Elbtal Plastics was installed, I treated the walls of the pool again. Defects were repaired with tile adhesive and then rubbed smooth. We then laid a fleece (400g/m²) on the walls and floor to protect the pool liner and prevent condensation from forming.

To install the liner, we attached mounting brackets to the edge of the pool to serve as a base for welding the liner. The Elbtal liner was then heated at certain points, bonded and fixed in place with a heat-resistant roller. Finally, the liner segments in the pool floor were processed with a welding robot and the seams sealed with liquid adhesive.

In total, it took around one and a half days to install the pool liner and another 1.5 days to fill the pool with water. Now the work on the pool surroundings can begin 😊
