Draining the cellar: New pump defective after 1 month - non-return valve installed

In this video, I explain why I had to replace my old submersible pump with a new pump with electronic control. The old pump in the soakaway was damaged by stones and deposits in the groundwater and could no longer be repaired.

I have been drying the walls in my basement for over a year using the injection method. To support this, I built a pump sump in which a submersible pump reliably pumps out the water. But after a month, the pump started making loud noises and no longer switched off automatically. Small stones that were loosened from the ground caused serious damage to the pump.
In this video, I show how I repair the pump and also install a non-return valve to solve the problem.
