DIY automatic irrigation: Rain Bird Drip Pipe Installation - Part 1

In this video, I show you how I rebuild my raised bed between two gabion walls and install an automatic irrigation system. In future, the plants will be watered automatically to ensure optimum growth. This time I'm using a drip hose, which enables efficient and water-saving irrigation.

I am installing a valve box with components from Hunter and Rain Bird. The piping is made with Gardena components and the water supply runs through a 25 mm PE pipe. Solenoid valves from Hunter control the irrigation automatically via my irrigation computer. In the video, I show you step by step how to assemble the valve box, prepare the slope and install the valve box.

Finally, I test the irrigation system before laying out the drip hose and filling the surface between the plants with gravel honeycomb and decorative gravel in the second part of this project.
