Building a gabion wall - Stacking and securely installing the second row of baskets

In this video, I show you how to build the second row of my gabion wall for slope stabilization. The stone baskets are stacked on top of each other and securely connected to build a stable, 2-meter-high retaining wall.

Once the first row of gabions has been filled and aligned, I now move on to the second level. In this step, I install the back walls and cross grids, attach the drainage fleece and start filling in the soil on the slope. At the same time, I continue to fill the gabion baskets with granite stones to stabilize the wall.

The entire project is designed to stabilize and secure a 30-metre-long and 2-metre-high earth slope. A staircase, water pipes, empty conduits and sewage pipes will also be integrated into the construction. This video documents the construction progress and gives you valuable tips on building gabion walls.
