We always encounter different insects in our yard.
As a farmer, as much as possible, we don't want to use any Chemical to repel or kill insects that destroys our plants.
Recently, i made an experiment using my own Herbal Shampoo and soap which i bought online due to annoying mosquitoes in my farm.
I found it very effective specially right after i take a shower. Even after few hours, less mosquitoes are biting me unlike before.
Still, i encounter few mosquitoes as i don't take a shower that long. I didn't soak my body in soap and shampoo.
So after few days of regular use, i still find it very effective.
One day, i let the shampoo and soap to be absorb for few minutes. I rinse it properly and wipe myself dry with towel.
Several minutes after shower, i noticed that not even a single mosquito was biting me. I really it is much more effective if you let it absorb by your body for few minutes. Maybe around 10 minutes.
Now, i realize that it is effective against mosquitoes, i tried it on plants. In some tomatoes and my calamansi tree with a lot of ants.
The next day after spraying, there's no more aphids and insects eating my tomato leaves. It is 100 percent effective against aphids and repelling other insects.
I checked my calamansi tree, and there still ants on it. So i sprayed again twice that day. One in the morning then another one around 6pm where most insects are more active. Though i don't have any pest in my calamansi tree, i just want to know if my shampoo is also effective against ants.
The next day, i noticed that less ants are now in my calamansi tree. Some were still in their nest. So i sprayed again. This time, a little bit more stronger mixture. Sprayed twice again. One in the morning, one at around 6pm.
After another day, there's no more ants in my calamansi. I therefore conclude that my shampoo is effective against ants.
Now, i know that you want to know what kind of shampoo that i am using. What are the ingredients and how i made my mixture.
Of course, i will tell it to you that is why i made this video.

I purchased a herbal shampoo online. It's main ingredients are citronella and Madre de Cacao. With a little bit of sulphur.
In my first experiment, i put 1 tablespoon of shampoo in 1 liter of water. Dissolve it properly and place it in a spray bottle.
When i used it against ants, i doubled my mixture. 2 tablespoons in 1 liter of water.
But, the problem here is that my shampoo is very expensive compared to regular shampoo...
So, i kept on searching for alternative on how i can save yet with the same efficacy.
I ordered a dog shampoo made with herbal ingredients such as citronella and madre de cacao.
And this is my new experiment and i will definitely write again a review. I will share to you the result of my experiment
