If you pick one of the top languages, you will be ok.
The best thing you can do is use a programming language as a tool to learn programming concepts and fundamentals.
Once you know one language well, learning your second programming language will be easier.
So if you decide to go with Python, Javascript, or any of the top languages, you will be fine. Just remember, the goal is to learn on language well first.
So whether you're a beginner looking for your first programming language, keep this in mind.
