Experimental Acrylic + Wood Mallet Build
This mallet is an experiment — combining acrylic and wood in a way I’ve never tried before. I reinforced the handle with dowels, and the acrylic layers are always sandwiched between wood for stability. Every strike felt solid and balanced during testing, but please note: this is not a traditional recommendation. For long-term reliability, a fully wooden mallet is still your safest bet.
I built this project just to explore new materials and techniques, and I had a lot of fun breaking a few “rules” along the way. I’ll keep testing it and update you after it sees real workshop use.
Thanks for watching, and if you’re adventurous, feel free to experiment safely!
