My best friend Satoshi-san had a small restaurant in Japan. He had great skill as a cook，but after some years，he wanted to follow his dream to experience a new culture. Not as a tourist，however。He wanted to live abroad and learn new things。 So Satoshi - san decided to learn a new language . He took an English course and because he was very shy , he did not tell anyone . He practiced in class until he could say a few things . Then , every time Satoshi san saw a foreigner , he tried to speak to them . But because he didn't understand how the grammar worked , he couldn't respond well . Slowly , he became less shy and more confident . Soon , he was able to express his ideas . He started to pronounce things right and his English improved . As he made progress , Satoshi - san was able to communicate with his foreign customers . From listening to their stories , he increased his vocabulary . He practiced and practiced until his English was as good as a British speaker's . He got his certificate from the English course , and then it was time to go . Satoshi - san wanted to become a famous chef in London . Then he saw how much the ticket was and went to Vietnam instead . Here , he bought a beautiful house surrounded by farms . The air was so fresh . " This is better than London ! " he said . But when Satoshi - san tried to make friends with someone , he realized that no one there spoke English . " Damn ! " He said , " All the money spent learning English for nothing ! " His only friends were the dogs . They came to his house sometimes , even though sometimes they stole his shoes . But at least they can speak " Gâu , go ! "
