Plaid in The Park Mount Dora Florida was covered by Jeanine Corcoran, broker for The Corcoran Connection. Mount Dora is known as “festival city” and Plaid in The Park is a big part of the festivities.
Jeanine interviewed Mitch who is with Mount Dora Sister Cities which has a sister city in Scotland. Mitch said most of what they do is Scottish-based. He said they have pipers and dancers, and everything is Scottish-themed.
Jeanine asked Mitch how often does Plaid In The Park happen? He said it happens once a month. Jeanine followed up and asked who pays for this to happen? Mitch replied that members put money up and that T-Mobile is their main sponsor and covers quite a bit.
Jeanine then asked Mitch how long Plaid In The Park has been going on? He said since October of 2020. Mitch continued that this once-a-month event pulls in people from all over the state. He stated that they advertise on the radio outside of Mount Dora to gain a greater reach.
