Install drip irrigation - simply lay the bead hose for hedges and raised beds

In this video, I show you how I install a drip irrigation system with a bead hose for my thuja hedge and the plants in the raised bed. The automatic watering system ensures that the plants are reliably supplied with water even in very hot weather.

The raised bed behind my new carport is already planted. A thuja hedge serves as a privacy screen, and ground cover plants and roses adorn the other side. Due to the clay soil, the plants have difficulty getting enough water, especially during dry periods. By installing a drip irrigation system using a beaded hose, I create a reliable water supply for the plants in the raised bed and along the hedge.

I'll show you step by step how to lay the bead hose and which components such as pressure reducers and fittings are used. I also give tips on installation and answer the question of whether a pressure reducer is required.
