How to make FERMENTED FRUIT JUICE | ORGANIC FERTILIZER FFJ | ANGELICA TAN

Fermented Fruit Juice (FFJ)

Materials

Any of the following fruits: mango; papaya; marang; jackfruit; or banana (but not pineapple); etc.
Old or used pail
Muscovado sugar (crude sugar or kinugay)
Manila paper (unprinted)
Plastic straw for tying
Clean water (no chlorine or other chemical compound)

Procedure

Collect fruits before sunrise (when fruits energy is at its peak)
Cut or chop the fruit finely
Mix properly the following at the ratio of 1:1:1
kilos chopped fruits
kilos muscovado sugar
natural water
Put in a pail and leave 25% air space.
Leave container undisturbed in a cool place for 7-14 days.
Harvest FFJ liquid extract by straining with a mosquito net.The substrate shall be composted.
Store FFJ in a plastic bottle. FFJ is now ready to use.

Application

Mix 2 tablespoons of FFJ per liter of clean water.
Spray on the leaves of plants or on the soil using a clean sprayer.
Spray early in the morning at 4:00am—6:00am and in the afternoon at 5:00pm until sunset when the microorganisms are most active.
Spray on the following:
On rice: from panicle initiation until a week before harvesting
On corn: as soon as tassels appear until a week before harvesting
On banana: as soon as blossoming starts until a week before harvesting

Benefits

A good source of potassium which can speed up plant’s absorption and results to sweeter tasting fruits.
Helps maintain vigor in plants and resistance against pests.
Adds to soil fertility and the advent of good colonies of microorganisms.
