🌱 In this video, I am sharing how to prepare a 100% organic pesticide at home using neem leaves, garlic, green chili, neem oil, and soap.
This homemade spray is very effective against aphids, whiteflies, spider mites, thrips, and caterpillars.
🧪 Ingredients you need:
Neem leaves (about 2 handfuls) 🌿
Garlic (10–12 cloves) 🧄
Green chilies (4–5 pieces) 🌶️
Neem oil (2–3 teaspoons) 🌱
Mild soap / liquid soap (½ teaspoon) 🧼
1 liter of water 💧
🔧 Preparation Steps:
1. Crush neem leaves, garlic, and chili into a rough paste.
2. Boil 1 liter of water and add the paste. Let it simmer for 10 minutes.
3. Cool and filter the solution.
4. Add 2–3 teaspoons of neem oil and ½ teaspoon of mild soap to help the spray stick to leaves.
5. Mix well and store in a spray bottle.
🌿 How to Use:
Spray on the top and underside of leaves where pests usually hide.
Apply in early morning or late evening (not in direct sunlight).
Use every 7 days or after rainfall for best results.
WHY THIS NATURAL PESTICIDE WORKS:
Neem Leaves & Oil: Disrupt insect hormones and act as a natural repellent—proven to control over 200 pest species!
Garlic: Releases allicin, a sulfur compound that repels aphids, whiteflies, and beetles.
Chili: Capsaicin burns pests on contact and deters them from munching your crops.
Soap: Helps the mixture stick to leaves and breaks down insect exoskeletons.
Benefits: Non-toxic to humans, pets, and beneficial insects like bees. Perfect for urban gardens, balconies, or small farms. Plus, it's budget-friendly.
