Fermented Plant Juice (FPJ) It’s one of the most powerful source of nutrients for your plants which I discovered by studying Jadam Natural Farming!
It’s extremely low cost as You can use pretty much any weed or plant material at the end of the growing season! Each plant used has different properties that could enhance germination, vegetative growth, fruit production, etc.
I love natural Farming because it promotes taking advantage of the local environment and cooperate with nature to nurture plants!
HOW TO MAKE FPJ:
- Plant Material - Organic Brown Sugar - Scale - Glass Jar - Strainer
Collect your plant material early in the morning when still full of morning Dew (This is when plants have most of the energy). Any plant could work, I’m using nettles and Comfrey as they are mineral accumulators and provide lots of enzymes, hormones, etc. I collected 800 g of plant material!
Weigh your plant material, chop it in small bits and mix it with the same amount of Organic Brown Sugar. Mix well until it starts to feel moist. Pack it tightly into a glass Jar leaving a head space and covering the top with more Brown Sugar. Close it with a breathable cover.
Leave it to ferment for 7 days and strain the content without pressing but let gravity do the work. Keep the solids so you can use them to make Vinegar. Use it at a ration of 1:1000 to water your plants (1 Tablespoon in 15 L of rainwater or filtered). Also, This works great to encourage germination of seeds by soaking them in for 10 minutes.
