The main reason why you would want to go to traffic school is if for example you had 11 points and if you get one more point, you lose your license, then you would want to go to school because it erases the points. This way, you would stay at 11 points and avoid losing your license.
People think if they go to traffic school, the insurance company is not aware of the speeding ticket and that is not true. The speeding ticket is still there and the insurance company sees it and still rates for it.
