Your First Arduino UNO R4 Program — LED Blink Step by Step

Your First Arduino UNO R4 Program — LED Blink Step by Step

In this video — part 3 of the Kitflix Arduino UNO R4 & IoT course series — we
get hands-on for the first time. We write our first sketch, set up the Arduino
IDE, install the UNO R4 board definitions, and blink the onboard LED with
different delays. We also cover an important hardware limitation of the R4 pins
that most beginner tutorials skip.

🔧 What we cover:
- Arduino sketch structure — void setup() vs void loop()
- pinMode() — setting a pin as digital output
- digitalWrite() HIGH and LOW — generating 5V or 0V on a pin
- delay() — controlling timing in milliseconds
- Naming pins with variables instead of hardcoding numbers
- Downloading and installing Arduino IDE from arduino.cc
- Installing Arduino UNO R4 board definitions in Board Manager
- Connecting the board via USB-C and selecting the correct port
- Uploading your first sketch — and fixing a real case sensitivity bug live
- Experimenting with different blink delays: 1500ms, 500ms, 200ms, 2000ms
- Important: R4 pin current limit is 8mA — what that means for your projects
