EU chief Ursula von der Leyen praised Bulgarian defense plans that include new facilities for the production of gunpowder and artillery shells on Sunday, as she stressed the need to boost all of Europe’s defense capacities - not just those of Ukraine. The Commission president was in Bulgaria to discuss Europe's security and defense spending with government officials.
